SPIEL is Essen and Essen is SPIEL – and this year we can show that even better than ever before. In cooperation with Messe Essen and the city, we are launching "Essen spielt!": a partner program that unites the city's culture, business, gastronomy, hotel industry, and tourism with SPIEL, offering you many benefits and special promotions.

With "Essen spielt!", alongside the unforgettable fair experience, entirely new memories of an attractive city and its opportunities will be created.

Game nights at special locations

Gaming continues after the fair – but not just anywhere! Together with Messe Essen, we are raffling off extraordinary gaming experiences at very special locations in Essen.

Participation in these special game nights cannot be bought. Together with Messe Essen, we will be holding a giveaway via social media in September – further information about the raffle will follow soon.

Essen is home to Germany's tallest city hall at 106 meters. Gaming will take place right at the top, offering an impressive view over the city from the 22nd floor.

Industriehalle, Red Dot Museum

The internationally renowned museum is housed in the former boiler house of the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex, which was redesigned for this purpose by British star architect Sir Norman Foster. The fascinating atmosphere of the stoker platform is created by the contrast between old and new, industrial and product design.
